The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) plays a vital role in improving the quality of day care and making it more affordable for many low-income families.

  As a CACFP participant, your site will proudly serve nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children and adults who are enrolled for care at participating child care centers, day care homes, and adult day care centers.  

RFSN is a contracting entity, working with the Texas Department of Agriculture to monitor and support the child nutrition needs for our participating sites. Providers are reimbursed monthly, for serving nutritious meals that meet the strict requirements of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

  There are many different homes and centers that participate in the CACFP program, including Child Care Centers, Family Day Care Homes and Adult Day Care Programs.
